TEHRAN – the Iran Football Federation unveiled the new jersey of the national football team for the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

At the presentation ceremony, which was held on Saturday night at the Olympic Hotel in Tehran, the jersey, which bears the image of an Asiatic cheetah, was unveiled.

In a two-day visit to Tehran in early November, FIFA President Sepp Blatter said that he would support the Iranian team’s plan to prevent the extinction of the Asian cheetah.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be held in Brazil from June 12 to July 13.

A total of 32 national Soccer Jerseys 2014 teams are divided into eight groups of four teams.


Asian heavyweight Iran has been drawn in Group F of the 2014 World Cup along with powerhouse Argentina, Nigeria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Iran will face Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba’s Arena da Baixada.
